Abstract

Hand lettering is the art of drawing letters in the shape desired by hand writing technique. "The art of hand lettering is included in the popular arts that pay attention to the meaning, pleasure, identity rather than efficiency" (Fiske, 2011). Hand lettering is a means of conveying expression through the art of writing in a variety of beautiful forms that are seen visually. In addition, in the manufacturing process, hand lettering also requires several tools, such as paper, pens, pencils, brushes and many more. One of the tools used is the brush pen. Of the many types of brush pen that already exist, there is not yet available a brush pen that has three types of brush tips in one brush pen that can facilitate the owner in making hand lettering activities, where users do not need to carry, buy three types of brush pens with a different brush tip for their needs. But only need to bring or buy one type of brush pen in which there are three different types of brush pens. Keywords: Brush Pen, Brush Tip, Hand Lettering, 3 in 1 Brush Pen. Hand lettering adalah seni menggambar huruf dengan bentuk sesuai yang diinginkan dengan teknik hand writing. “Seni hand lettering termasuk kedalam seni popular yang menaruh perhatian pada makna, kesenangan, identitas alih-alih efisiensi” (Fiske, 2011). Hand lettering menjadi salah satu sarana menyampaikan ekspresi melalui seni berbentuk tulisan dengan berbagai macam bentuk yang indah dilihat secara visual. Selain itu dalam proses pembuatannya, hand lettering juga memerlukan beeberapa tools, seperti, kertas, pulpen, pensil, kuas dan masih banyak lagi.salah satu tools yang digunakan adalah brush pen. Dari sekian banyak jenis brush pen yang sudah ada, belum tersedia brush pen yang memiliki tiga jenis brush tip di dalam satu brush pen yang dapat mempermudah pengguanya dalam melakukan kegiatan membuat hand lettering, dimana penggunanya tidak perlu membawa, membeli tiga jenis brush pen dengan brush tip yang berbeda-beda untuk kebutuhannya. Tetapi hanya perlu membawa atau membeli satu jenis brush pen yang didalamnya terdapat tiga jenis brush pen yan berbeda-beda. Kata Kunci : Brush Pen, Brush Tip, Hand Lettering, 3in1 Brush Pen
