Abstract

Fragrant root is one material that has the potential that can be made with various needs. Fragrant roots have many advantages ranging from the preservation process to the process. In this case, I was inspired to discuss with Indonesian culture. Indonesia is a country that is blessed with a variety of cultures in it. One of them is a historic building in the colonial period, which makes it iconic today. This exploration is to make souvenirs that have the main ingredients, namely fragrant roots, by discovering techniques from existing crafts. Which combined geometric shapes with organic and industrial materials Keywords: fragrant roots, souvenirs, iconic Akar wangi adalah salah satu material yang memiliki potensi yang dapat dijadikan berbagai macam kebutuhan. Akar wangi memiliki banyak keuntungan mulai dari proses pengawetannya sampai pengerjaannya. Dalam hal ini, saya terinspirasi untuk mengeksplorasi dengan budaya Indonesia. Indonesia merupakan suatu negara yang dianugerahi keanekaragaman budaya didalamnya. Salah satunya gedung bersejarah pada masa kolonial, yang menjadikan ikonik pada saat ini. Ekplorasi ini untuk pembuatan cenderamata yang memiliki material utama yakni akar wangi, dengan menemukan teknik pembaruan dari kerajinan yang ada. Yang dikombinasikan bentuk geometri dengan material organik dan industri Kata kunci: akar wangi, cendermata, ikonik
