Abstract

The current needs of the community, which require fast, easy, clear, and affordable services are becoming one of the ideas being discussed by the DKI Jakarta Government. One of the ideas is the TOD (Transit Oriented Development) concept, the TOD concept is a concept that encourages people to live and work in areas that have integrated public transportation facilities and reduce the community's habit of driving private cars. And one of the topics being discussed is the Manggarai station area. The Manggarai Station area is an area that has the potential to become a TOD (Transit Oriented Development) center because it is a transit point and a meeting point for several modes of mass transportation, such as the Jabodetabek Commuterline KRL, LRT, airport trains and TransJakarta Buses. In the Jabodetabek 2020 railway masterplan, the Manggarai area is referred to as the Integrated Terminal Railway-Bus Area or the area of transportation and integration of bus and rail transportation. In the Jakarta Mass Transit System, unfortunately the current condition of the Manggarai station area which is supposed to represent a transit-based area is suspected of experiencing an imbalance of empirical conditions to the ideal conditions of a TOD-based area. The Manggarai area does not yet have adequate intermodal integration and connectivity, so travel made by the community is ineffective and inefficient. In the integrated area design of the Manggarai station this time the designer was asked to apply contemporary designs to the Betawi culture that is the hallmark of Jakarta culture, in the TOD area that is considered to already exist, the use of this concept is also expected to preserve Betawi culture and facilitate mobility and a different atmosphere in the room itself. Keywords: transportation, TOD, Manggarai, contemporary, Jakarta, Betawi culture Kebutuhan hidup masyarakat saat ini, yang membutuhkan pelayanan yang cepat, mudah, jelas, dan terjangkau sedang menjadi salah satu gagasan yang sedang menjadi pembahasan oleh Pemerintah DKI Jakarta. Salah satu gagasannya adalah konsep TOD (Transit Oriented Development), konsep TOD adalah suatu konsep yang mendorong masyarakat untuk tinggal dan beraktifitas di area kawasan yang memiliki fasilitas transportasi umum yang terintegrasi dan menurunkan kebiasaan masyarakat mengendarai mobil pribadi. Dan salah satu sedang menjadi pembahasan adalah kawasan stasiun manggarai. Kawasan Stasiun Manggarai adalah kawasan yang berpotensi menjadi pusat TOD (Transit Oriented Development) karena merupakan titik transit dan pertemuan beberapa moda transportasi massal, seperti KRL Commuterline Jabodetabek, LRT, kereta bandara dan Bus TransJakarta. Dalam masterplan perkeretaapian Jabodetabek 2020, kawasan Manggarai disebutkan sebagai Kawasan Railway-Bus Integrated Terminal atau wilayah perpindahan dan integrasi transportasi bus dan rel. Pada Jakarta Mass Transit System, Sayangnya kondisi kawasan stasiun Manggarai saat ini yang seharusnya merepresentasikan kawasan berbasis transit diduga mengalami ketimpangan kondisi empiris terhadap kondisi ideal sebuah kawasan berbasis TOD. Kawasan Manggarai belum memiliki integrasi dan konektivitas intermoda yang memadai, sehingga perjalanan yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat menjadi tidak efektif dan tidak efisien. Dalam rancangan kawasan terpadu stasiun Manggarai kali ini perancang diminta untuk mengaplikasikan desain kontemporer dengan budaya Betawi yang menjadi ciri khas kebudayaan Jakarta, pada kawasan TOD yang dianggap sudah ada, penggunaan konsep ini juga diharapkan dapat melestarikan budaya Betawi dan memudahkan mobilitas dan suasana yang berbeda pada ruangan itu sendiri.
