Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Inflation, Exchange Rate, Interest Rate, World Crude Oil Prices and World Gold Price on the volatility of Mining Index on Indonesia Stock Exchange. Sample taken in this research are monthly data of Inflation, Exchange Rate, Interest Rate, World Crude Oil Price, World Gold Price and Indonesia Mining Index period of 2014-2018. The method of analysis used in this study is multiple linear regression (time series data). The result showed that partially World Crude Oil Prices having significant positive effect on the volatility of Mining Index, while Exchange Rate and World Gold Prices are not having significant influence on the volatility of Mining Index. The implication in this study is that investors need to pay attention about the changes of World Crude Oil Prices, because it is proven to have a positive effect on volatility of Mining Index. Keywords: Mining Index, Exchange Rate, World Crude Oil Prices, World Gold Price Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Inflasi, Nilai Tukar, Suku Bunga, Harga Minyak Dunia dan Harga Emas Dunia terhadap pergerakan Indeks Sektor Pertambangan. Sampel yang diambil dalam penelitian adalah data bulanan Inflasi, Nilai Tukar, Suku Bunga, Harga Minyak Dunia, Harga Emas Dunia dan Indeks Sektor Pertambangan periode 2014-2018. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda dengan tipe data time series. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial Harga Minyak Dunia berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap pergerakan Indeks Sektor Pertambangan, sedangkan Nilai Tukar dan Harga Emas Dunia tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pergerakan Indeks Sektor Pertambangan. Implikasi dalam penelitian ini adalah bahwa para investor perlu menaruh perhatian pada perubahan Harga Minyak Dunia, karena terbukti memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap pergerakan Indeks Sektor Pertambangan.
