Abstract

Every individual will be confident for himself and for the people around him, every individual needs someone who is able to keep him feeling safe and for support. This study aims to examine and provide an analysis of the relationship between unsafe adults and psychological well-being of the final year students in Jakarta who are the subject of this study. The sample used in this study were 202 male and female respondents with the criteria possessed by final year students who are in a romantic relationship and the age range is 21-35 years. Sampling using accidental sampling technique. In collecting the data, the researcher used two measurement tools, namely the scale of experience in close relationships (31 items) and the scale of psychological well-being (39 items). The analysis technique to test the hypothesis uses the Pearson Correlation technique. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between adult attachment insecurity and psychological well-being with a value of r = -0.620; p = 0.000. Additional findings from this study indicate that there are differences in psychological well-being between men and women with a value of t = 2.703; p = 0.007. Keywords : Insecure Adult Attachment, The Experiences in Close Relationship, Psychological Well-Being, Final Level Students Setiap individu pasti menginginkan keberhasilan untuk dirinya dan untuk orang - orang disekitarnya, setiap individu membutuhkan seseorang yang mampu menjaganya untuk tetap merasa aman dan untuk mendapat support. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui serta memberikan analisis terkait hubungan insecure adult attachment dengan psychological well-being pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir di Jakarta yang menjadi subjek penelitian ini. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 202 responden baik laki-laki maupun perempuan dengan kriteria yang dimiliki ialah mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang sedang menjalin hubungan romantis dan juga rentang usia 21 - 35 tahun. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Dalam pengambilan data, peneliti menggunakan dua alat ukur, yaitu skala the experiences in close relationship (31 item) dan skala psychological well-being (39 item). Teknik analisa untuk menguji hipotesa menggunakan teknik Korelasi Pearson. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara insecure adult attachment dengan psychological well-being dengan nilai r = -0,620 ; p = 0,000. Temuan tambahan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan psychological well-being antara laki-laki dan perempuan dengan nilai t = 2,703 ; p = 0,007.
