Abstract

This research is meant to observe the influence of firm age, size, liquidity and sales growth to the capital structure on consumer goods industry companies which are listed in Indonesia stock exchange. The sample of this research is 40 consumer goods industry companies which are listed in Indonesia stock exchange (IDX) in 2015-2017 periods and 32 of 40 consumer goods industry which have met the sample criteria that consists of many sectors have been selected as samples. The sample collection technique has been done by using purposive sampling. The analysis technique in this research is carried by using multiple linear regressions. The result of this research shows that firm age and sales growth has significant influence to the capital structure. Liquidity have negative influence to the capital structure. Meanwhile, size does not have any influence to the capital structure. Keywords : Firm Age, Size, Liquidity, Sales Growth, Capital Structure Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti pengaruh umur perusahaan, ukuran perusahaan, likuiditas, dan pertumbuhan penjualan terhadap struktur modal pada perusahaan hasil industri untuk konsumsi yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah perusahaan hasil industri untuk konsumsi yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) pada tahun 2015-2017 sebanyak 40 perusahaan dan terpilih sebanyak 32 perusahaan hasil industri untuk konsumsi yang memenuhi kriteria sampel. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa umur perusahaan dan pertumbuhan penjualan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap struktur modal. Likuiditas berpengaruh negatif terhadap struktur modal. Sedangkan ukuran perusahaan tidak berpengaruh terhadap struktur modal. Kata kunci : umur perusahaan, ukuran perusahaan, likuiditas, pertumbuhan penjualan, struktur modal
