Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of asset structure, sales growth and profitability on the capital structure of the food and beverage sub-sector manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The population in this study were 18 food and beverage sub-sector manufacturing companies. The research samples obtained were 10 companies with financial reporting periods from 2014 to 2017. The data used in this study were secondary data with causal research. The sample technique used was purposive sampling. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis with the help of the SPSS program. Based on the results of testing the asset structure independent variables with tangibility assets ratio, sales growth with growth comparison of current year sales with the previous year and profitability with a measure of return on assets and the dependent variable capital structure with a tool to measure the debt to assets ratio model. The results of this study indicate that the asset structure has a significant positive effect on capital structure, sales growth has a significant positive effect on capital structure, profitability has no significant negative effect on capital structure. Keywords: capital structure, structure of assets, sales growth, profitability, ratio Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh struktur aktiva, pertumbuhan penjualan dan profitabilitas terhadap struktur modal pada perusahaan manufaktur sub sektor makanan dan minuman yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 18 perusahaan manufaktur sub sektor makanan dan minuman. Sampel penelitian yang didapatkan sebanyak 10 perusahaan dengan periode pelaporan keuangan dari tahun 2014 hingga 2017. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan data sekunder dengan penelitian kausal. Teknik sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan program SPSS. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian variabel bebas struktur aktiva dengan alat ukur tangibility assets ratio, pertumbuhan penjualan dengan growth perbandingan penjualan tahun berjalan dengan tahun sebelumnya dan profitabilitas dengan alat ukur return on asset serta variabel terikat struktur modal dengan alat ukut model debt to assets ratio. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa struktur aktiva berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap struktur modal, pertumbuhan penjualan berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap struktur modal, profitabilitas berpengaruh positif tidak signifikan terhadap struktur modal.
