Abstract

The study aims at analyzing the Financial Performance of the companies under the Sub-Sector of Cosmetic and Household Appliance Industry by means of Financial Ratio Analysis and identifying which company has better Financial Performance. Then, the Financial Ratios that have been employed are Current Ratio, Long Term Debt to Equity Ratio, Return on Equity and Total Assets Turn Over Ratio. In order to analyze and identify the Financial Performance through the Financial Ratios, five companies under the given industry have been selected namely Unilever Indonesia (UNVR), Mustika Ratu (MRAT), Martina Berto (MBTO), Mandom Indonesia (TCID) and Akasha Wira International (ADES). In gathering the necessary sample, the researcher employed the non-probability sampling and the data that had been gathered were the secondary data in the form of Financial Report. Furthermore, in analyzing the data the researcher performed a descriptive analysis in the form of Ratio Trend Analysis. The results of the study show that Current Ratio, Long Term Debt to Equity Ratio, Return on Equity and Total Assets Turn Over Ratio are capable of serving as the good predictor for the Financial Performance of the companies under the Sub-Sector of Cosmetic and Household Appliance Industry Keyword : Financial Performance, Current Ratio, Long Term Debt to Equity Ratio, Return on Equity and Total Assets Turn Over Ratio Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Menganalisis Kinerja Keuangan Perusahaan pada Sub Sektor Industri Kosmetik dan Barang Keperluan Rumah Tangga dengan menggunakan analisis Rasio Keuangan dan untuk mengetahui perusahaan mana yang memiliki kinerja yang lebih baik. Rasio Keuangan yang digunakan adalah Rasio Likuiditas (Current Ratio), Rasio Solvabilitas (Long Term Debt to Equity Ratio), Rasio Profitabilitas (Return on Equity), dan Rasio Aktivitas (Total Assets Turn Over Ratio). Objek penelitian ini adalah 5 (lima) perusahaan Sub Sektor Kosmetik dan Barang Keperluan Rumah Tangga yang terdaftar di BEI yaitu PT. Unilever Indonesia, Tbk. (UNVR), PT. Mustika Ratu, Tbk. (MRAT), PT. Martina Berto, Tbk. (MBTO), PT. Mandom Indonesia, Tbk. (TCID), dan PT. Akasha Wira International, Tbk. (ADES). Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah non-probability sampling dan data yang dikumpulkan merupakan data sekunder berupa Laporan Tahunan, Kemudian, teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dalam bentuk Analisa Trend Rasio. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Rasio Likuiditas, Rasio Solvabilitas, Rasio Profitabilitas, dan Rasio Aktivitas dapat menjadi prediktur yang baik bagi Kinerja Keuangan Perusahaan di Sub-Sektor Industri Kosmetik dan Berang Keperluan Rumah Tangga yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Kata Kunci : Kinerja Keuangan, Rasio Likuiditas, Rasio Solvabilitas, Rasio Profitabilitas, dan Rasio Aktivitas.
