Abstract
A great diversity of cultures, the progress of tourism and the increasing interest of the world community who want to learn about West Java culture, it is necessary to have a cultural center to accommodate these activities and support the development of existing local and global cultural arts. The center of culture is expected to represent the identity or character of West Java so that the building and its complex must be an icon for West Java and the city of Bandung which describes the spirit of its era, futuristic and innovative but still pay attention to the local wisdom of West Java culture. Therefore, West Java needs art building facilities to improve the quality of arts and culture for the community, especially Sundanese people who are packaged in a modern way to increase millennial generation's interest in the importance of maintaining the culture that we have. This facility is designed to provide a platform for some people who love art and culture so that they can be more productive in developing and the culture of West Java, especially Sundanese culture. Keywords: Cultural Center, West Java Art and Culture Center, Architecture, Double Skin Facade, Green Architecture Keberagaman budaya yang sangat banyak, kemajuan pariwisata dan semakin besarnya minat masyarakat dunia yang ingin mempelajari kebudayaan Jawa Barat, maka diperlukan pusat kebudayaan untuk menampung aktivitas tersebut serta mendukung pengembangan seni budaya lokal dan global yang ada. Pusat kebudayaan diharapkan dapat merepresentasikan identitas atau karakter Jawa Barat sehingga bangunan dan kompleksnya harus menjadi ikon untuk Jawa Barat dan kota Bandung yang menggambarkan semangat jamannya yakni futurisktik dan inovatif namun tetap memperhatikan kearifan lokal budaya Jawa Barat. Oleh sebab itu Jawa Barat perlu adanya fasilitas gedung kesenian untuk meningkatkan kualitas ilmu kesenian dan budaya untuk masyarakat, khususnya masyarakat sunda yang dikemas secara modern untuk meningkatkan minat generasi milenial akan pentingnya menjaga budaya yang kita miliki. Fasilitas ini dirancang untuk memberikan wadah kepada sebagian masyarakat pecinta seni dan budaya supaya bisa lebih produktif dalam mengembangkan dan budaya jawa barat khususnya budaya sunda.
