Abstract

PT. HMA is one of the manufacturing companies engaged in the automotive field of motorcycles. Type of motorcycle produced includes 3 common parts, namely the type of cub, sport, and matic. The production process flow generally includes manufacturing process, assembling or assembling process, and shipping process. The V150 unit is one of the automatic motorcycle units manufactured in plant C. Based on the problem data that occurred on unit V150 period October to December 2017, there are 5 major problems where the highest is the problem of Cover Body and Rear Fender gap of 1298 units. For that reason the authors are assisted by engineering, quality, production and suppliers making measurements 10 units of V150 taken randomly from the production plant. The measurement results state that of the 20 points measured (right and left in each unit) there are 13 points of NG. This encourages the authors to do the research along with the related sections. The method used is Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) to find out what failure mode can cause the main problem occur and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) used to identify and provide Risk Priority Number (RPN) to know what priority failure mode which need to be addressed first. Based on the analysis result, the root of the problem is the Rear Fender position which is tilted to the left during the cooling process resulting in deformation, Unstable Stay Rear Fender jig block, and lack of design review of jig block on the maintenance process. Of the three root problems are made improvements that are expected to affect the number of Cover Body and Rear Fender are tenuous. After repairs and measurements, the number of Cover Body and Rear Fender are tenuous on the V150 unit to be reduced from the previous 13 points to 5 points. HMA merupakan salah satu perusahaan manufaktur yang bergerak pada bidang otomotif yaitu sepeda motor. Jenis sepeda motor yang diproduksi meliputi 3 bagian umum, yaitu jenis cub atau bebek, jenis sport, dan jenis matik. Alur proses produksi secara umum meliputi proses manufaktur, proses perakitan atau assembling, dan proses pengiriman atau shipping. Unit V150 merupakan salah satu unit sepeda motor berjenis matik yang diproduksi di plant C. Berdasarkan data masalah yang terjadi pada unit V150 periode Oktober sampai Desember 2017, terdapat 5 masalah besar dimana yang paling tertinggi adalah masalah Cover Body dan Rear Fender renggang sebanyak 1298 unit. Karena alasan tersebut penulis dibantu bagian engineering, quality, produksi dan supplier melakukan pengukuran terhadap 10 unit V150 yang diambil secara acak dari plant produksi. Hasil pengukuran menyatakan bahwa dari 20 poin yang diukur (bagian kanan dan kiri di tiap unit) terdapat 13 poin yang NG. Hal ini mendorong penulis untuk melakukan penelitian bersama dengan bagian-bagian terkait. Metode yang digunakan adalah Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) untuk mengetahui mode kegagalan apa saja yang dapat menyebabkan masalah utama terjadi dan Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) yang digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi dan memberikan Nilai Risk Priority Number (RPN) untuk mengetahui prioritas mode kegagalan apa yang perlu diatasi terlebih dahulu. Berdasarkan hasil analisis didapatkan akar masalahnya adalah posisi Rear Fender yang miring ke kiri saat proses pendinginan sehingga terjadi deformasi, blok jig Stay Rear Fender yang tidak stabil, dan kurangnya review desain blok jig terhadap proses perawatan. Dari ketiga akar masalah tersebut dilakukan perbaikan yang diharapkan dapat mempengaruhi banyaknya jumlah Cover Body dan Rear Fender yang renggang. Setelah dilakukan perbaikan dan pengukuran, jumlah Cover Body dan Rear Fender yang renggang pada unit V150 menjadi berkurang dari sebelumnya 13 poin menjadi 5 poin.
