Abstract

Control of inventory of raw materials becomes an important part of the manufacturing process, as it can affect the level of productivity of a company. By approaching just in time, the company will generate a minimum amount of inventory to reduce production costs. Preparatory planning by just-time method is done by designing the demand for the next year using the forecasting method of linear trend, moving average and single exponential smoothing then extended by making the master schedule of production to be continued by designing the transmission system by using nearest neighboring method that will determine the amount of raw material momentum, inventory plan and inventory cost calculation using the time method only. From the approximate approximation of the approximation method with the smallest error value is the 33.57% linear trend method, derives the shortest path and produces lead time using the nearest neighboring method equivalent to 8 hours. So the result obtained is based on its approach at the right time the storage cost is lower than Rp1,445,708,937 to Rp542,580,380 and increase the cost of the message from Rp 341,280 to Rp4,266,000 and the company is able to save on cost of inventory 9.4%. Keywords : Inventory, Forecasting, Nearest Neighbor, Reorder Point, Just In Time Pengendalian persediaan bahan baku menjadi hal penting dalam proses manufaktur, karena mampu mempegaruhi tingkat produktifitas sebuah perusahaan. Dengan melakukan pendekatan just in time perusahaan akan menghasilkan jumlah persediaan yang minim sehingga mampu mengurangi biaya produksi. Perencanaan persediaan dengan metode just in time dilakukan dengan merencanakan permintaan untuk tahun berikutnya dengan menggunakan metode peramalan trend linier, moving average dan single exponential smoothing setelah itu dilanjutkan dengan membuat jadwal induk produksi yang akan diteruskan dengan merencanakan sistem pengiriman dengan menggunakan metode nearest neighbor yang akan menentukan besarnya lead time bahan baku, pembuatan rencana persediaan dan menghitung biaya persediaan dengan menggunakan metode just in time. Dari hasil penerapan pendekatan just in time didapatkan metode peramalan dengan nilai eror terkecil yaitu metode trend linier sebesar 33.57%, didapatkan rute terpendek dan menghasilkan lead time dengan menggunakan metode nearest neighbor yaitu sebesar 8 jam. Sehingga didapatkan hasil berdasarkan pendekatan just in time menurunkan biaya penyimpanan dari semula Rp1.445.708.937 menjadi Rp542.580.380 dan menaikkan biaya pesan dari semula Rp341.280 menjadi Rp4.266.000 dan perusahaan mampu melakukan penghematan biaya persediaan sebesar 9,4%.
