Abstract

The research method used in this study is a causal research method, the aim is to determine the effect of Entrepreneurial Passion, Competence and Entrepreneur Characteristics as independent variables on Business Success as the dependent variable. The time for the study began from November 2017 to June 2018, which was located in the strawberry processing UMKM in the Rancabali District, Bandung Regency. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach with data collection instruments using questionnaires. The area population in this study were the owners and employees of the Strawberry Processing UMKM located in Rancabali District, Bandung Regency. The sampling technique uses probability sampling technique and Slovin formula with an error level of 1% (0.01), then the number of samples used is 28 business owners and 252 employees. The scale used in this study is the Likert scale. Data testing instruments using SmartPLS ver 3.2.7. In the hypothesis test the three independent variables have a positive original sample value, t statistic value> 1.96, and P value <0.05, so that the three hypotheses are accepted. The results of this study indicate that simultaneously Entrepreneurial Passion variables, Competencies and Entrepreneurial Characteristics have a positive and significant effect on Business Success. Keywords: Entrepreneurial Passion, Entrepreneur Competence, Entrepreneur Characteristics, Business Success Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kausal, tujuannya untuk mengetahui pengaruh antara Entrepreneurial Passion, Kompetensi dan Karakteristik Entrepreneur sebagai variabel independen terhadap Keberhasilan Usaha sebagai variabel dependen. Waktu penelitian dimulai dari bulan November 2017 hingga Juni 2018, yang berlokasi di UMKM pengolahan stroberi di Kecamatan Rancabali, Kabupaten Bandung. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Populasi area pada penelitian ini adalah pemilik dan pegawai di UMKM Pengolahan Stroberi yang berlokasi di Kecamatan Rancabali, Kabupaten Bandung. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampel probabilitas dan rumus Slovin dengan error level sebesar 1% (0.01), maka jumlah sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 28 pemilik usaha dan 252 pegawai. Skala yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala likert. Instrumen pengujian data menggunakan SmartPLS ver 3.2.7. Pada uji hipotesis ketiga variabel independen memiliki nilai original sample positif, nilai t statistik >1.96, dan nilai P value <0.05, sehingga ketiga hipotesis diterima. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan variabel Entrepreneurial Passion, Kompetensi dan Karakteristik Entrepreneur berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Keberhasilan Usaha.
