Abstract

Technology in the engineering and design of the car requires optimal design on the car chassis. this is because the function of the chassis is to support all components of the car including the driver. On this basis, it is necessary to analyze the chassis to obtain the necessary security. In this study, the KMHE hybrid urban car chassis design will be analyzed for stress and strength based on the theory of failure in static loading so that the maximum stress value occurs. In construction design, the magnitude of the security number must be greater than 1 (one). The safety factor is given to the construction design and engine components in order for the design to have resistance to the load received. The load used in this study is 337.5 kg which results in multiplication of the maximum load requirements on the technical regulation of KMHE 2018 of 225 kg with a safety factor of 1.5. The load division is divided into 3, namely the front, middle and rear. Assuming the front is 20%, the middle part is 44%, and the back 36% of the loading. The results obtained in this study are the maximum Von Mises stress that occurs on the chassis of 60,31 MPa. These results are then compared with the analysis using SolidWorks 2013 software with the results of the 64,55 MPa Von Mises stress so that an error of 7,03% is obtained between the two methods. Another result obtained is the deflection that occurs due to loading is equal to 0.769291 mm. Based on the results of the chassis model analysis, it can be concluded that the chassis is safe and in accordance with 2018 KMHE technical regulations. Keywords: chassis analysis, car frame, von mises stress analysis, 2018 KMHE Teknologi di bidang engineering dan rancang bangun mobil mengaharuskan desain yang optimal pada chassis mobil. hal ini karena fungsi chassis sebagai penopang seluruh komponen mobil termasuk pengendara. Atas dasar tersebut, maka diperlukan analisis terhadap chassis agar didapatkan keamanan yang diperlukan. Pada penelitian ini, rancangan chassis mobil hybrid urban KMHE akan dilakukan analisis tegangan dan kekuatan berdasar teori kegagalan pada pembebanan statis sehingga didapatkan nilai tegangan maksimal yang terjadi. Dalam desain konstruksi, besarnya angka keamanan harus lebih besar dari 1(satu). Faktor keamanan diberikan pada desain konstruksi dan komponen mesin dengan tujuan agar desain tersebut mempunyai ketahanan terhadap beban yang diterima. Pembebanan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 337,5 kg yang mana hasil ini merupakan perkalian syarat beban maksimal pada regulasi teknis KMHE 2018 sebesar 225 kg dengan safety factor 1,5. Pembagian beban dibagi menjadi 3 yaitu bagian depan, tengah, dan belakang. Dengan asumsi bagian depan 20%, bagian tengah 44%, dan bagian belakang 36% dari pembebanan. Hasil yang didapatkan pada penelitian ini adalah tegangan von mises maksimal yang terjadi pada chassis sebesar 60,31 MPa. Hasil ini kemudian dibandingkan dengan analisis menggunakan software SolidWorks 2013 dengan hasil tegangan von mises 64,55 MPa sehingga didapatkan error sebesar 7,03% antara kedua metode tersebut. Hasil lain yang didapatkan adalah defleksi yang terjadi akibat pembebanan adalah sebesar 0,769291 mm. Berdasarkan hasil analisis model chassis tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa chassis aman dan sesuai dengan regulasi teknis KMHE 2018.
