Abstract
Development in the field of religion which has been implemented since Indonesia's independence has an impact such as increased understanding of people's religious , social activities splendor of religious or increasing the number of places of worship as well as the increasing number of pilgrims. But at the same time an increase in moral decadence through pornography crime and juvenile delinquency. Two apparently opposing phenomena. On the one hand the development of religion continues to run but on the other hand does not diminish the negative behavior (Source : Regulation of the Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia No. 36 of 2009), so the presence of a container that can facilitate and bridge the existing problems in the community in religious restrictions are still is needed, examines bit by bit to get a correct and thorough information about Islam . The existence of the Islamic Center in Tangerang charges against a backdrop of a because the understanding of religion and the diversity of Muslim Indonesian community is still not as what is expected (Source: muslimdaily, 2010), so that with the facilities of Islamic Center is expected to give continuous and serious attention to the efforts of fostering the ummah and improving the quality of religious life through the culture of da'wah, tarbiyah, and ukhuwah that touch the actual content, content and religious objectives. Keywords: Islamic, Center, Tangerang, Islamic Center. Pembangunan bidang agama yang telah dilaksanakan sejak Indonesia telah memberikan dampak seperti meningkatnya pemahaman keagamaan masyarakat, semaraknya kegiatan-kegiatan sosial keagama-an atau meningkatnya jumlah tempattempat ibadah serta meningkatnya jumlah jamaah haji. Namun pada saat yang sama terjadi peningkatan dekadensi moral melalui aksi pornografi kriminalitas maupun kenakalan remaja. Dua fenomena tersebut tampaknya saling berseberangan. Di satu sisi pembangunan agama terus berjalan tetapi di sisi lain perilaku negatif tidak berkurang (Sumber : Peraturan Menteri Agama Republik Indonesia Nomor 36 Tahun 2009), sehingga kehadiran suatu wadah yang dapat memfasilitasi dan menjembatani permasalahan yang ada dalam masyarakat dalam batasan-batasan keagamaan ini masih sangat dibutuhkan, menelaah sedikit demi sedikit untuk mendapatkan suatu informasi yang benar dan menyeluruh tentang Islam. Keberadaan Islamic Center di Tanggerang ini dilatarbelakangi karena pemahaman keagamaan dan keberagaman masyarakat muslim Indonesia masih belum menggambarkan seperti yang diharapkan (Sumber : muslimdaily, 2010), sehingga dengan adanya fasilitas Islamic Center ini diharapkan memberikan perhatian terus menerus dan sungguh-sungguh terhadap upaya pembinaan umat dan peningkatan kualitas kehidupan beragama melalui pembudayaan dakwah, tarbiyah, dan ukhuwah yang menyentuh kedalaman isi, pesan dan tujuan beragama yang sesungguhnya. Kata Kunci : Islamic, Center, Tangerang, Islamic Center.
