Abstract

The use of new media for Facebook and Instagram for many companies in building image strategies has been rampant by many companies. Broadcasting PT.Tx Travel in the media era developed its social account so that it could display company information and service products, but also prepare strategies, obstacles to solutions to obstacles. This research is based on McQuail (2010-150), new media are a number of communication technology devices with the same features, which are only made possible by the extensive digitalization and availability to be used as a communication tool. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. The data used were joint interviews from PT.Tx Travel and PT. Tx Travel social media followers. The results showed that in utilizing new media, PT.Tx Travel focused on several things, namely strategies, obstacles, solutions, and also the second social media account devoted to PT.Tx Travel. Times have advanced, new media, especially social media can be a place for companies to express themselves. There is already social media that is used as best as possible by making Broadcasting Pemanfaatan media baru Facebook dan Instagram banyak perusahaan membuat suatu strategi dalam membangun citra telah marak dilakukan oleh banyak perusahaan. Broadcasting PT.Tx Travel di era media mengembangkan akun sosialnya agar dapat menampilkan informasi perusahaan maupun produk jasa, tapi juga melakukan penyiapan strategi, hambatan hingga solusi terhadap hambatan. Penelitian ini berdasar McQuail (2010-150), media baru adalah beberapa perangkat teknologi komunikasi dengan berbagai ciri yang sama, yang mana selain baru dimungkinkan dengan digitalisasi dan ketersediannya yang luas untuk penggunaan pribadi sebagai alat komunikasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara mendalam bersama narasumber dari PT.Tx Travel dan pengikut sosial media PT.Tx Travel. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa dalam memanfaatkan media baru, PT.Tx Travel memfokuskan diri pada beberapa hal diantaranya adalah strategi, hambatan, solusi, serta mengevaluasi kedua akun sosial media yang dimiliki PT.Tx Travel. Jaman sudah semakin maju, media baru khususnya media sosial bisa menjadi wadah bagi perusahaan untuk mengekspresikan dirinya. Sudah seharusnya media sosial dimanfaatkan dengan sebaik-baiknya oleh praktisi Broadcasting.
