Abstract
Urban toys have become a new trend among Indonesian people, especially toy collectors. This can be seen in creative events with the theme of urban culture / pop culture. Urban toys are very unique because they are born from the wild imagination and there is a message in it made by the designer himself. In this design the designer tries to choose the theme of wayang characters through a media, namely urban toys. Because wayang is one of Indonesia's hereditary arts that must be preserved. Key Word : Toy, urban toys, wayang, creative, indonesia Urban toys telah menjadi trend baru dikalangan masyarakat Indonesia khususnya kolektor mainan. Ini terlihat pada acara (event) kreatif bertemakan urban culture/pop culture. Urban toys sangat unik karena terlahir dari liarnya imajinasi dan terdapat pesan di dalamnya yang dibuat oleh desainer nya sendiri. Pada perancangan ini desainer mencoba untuk memilih tema karakter wayang melalui sebuah media, yaitu urban toys. Karena wayang merupakan salah satu kesenian turun temurun Indonesia yang harus dilestarikan. Kata kunci : Mainan, urban toys, Wayang, Kreatif, Indonesia
