Abstract

Judul : Pemanfaatan Limbah Plastik Jenis LDPE (Low Density Poly Ethylene) Sebagai Bahan Campuran Aspal AC – WC Menggunakan Metode Uji Marshall Dan Wheel Tracking, Nama : Muhammad Agis Pratama, NIM : 41114010029, Dosen Pembimbing : Dr. Ir. Nunung Widyaningsih, Pg. Dipl. Eng. 2018 Pesatnya pertumbuhan perekonomian di Indonesia harus diimbangi dengan infrastruktur jalan yang memadai, karena jalan merupakan sarana penghubung antara daerah satu dengan daerah yang lain untuk membangun suatu perekonomian. Permasalahan lain yang terjadi di Indonesia adalah banyaknya populasi sampah plastik dan sulitnya mengurai sampah plastik. Menumpuknya jumlah sampah plastik dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan campuran perkerasan jalan untuk meningkatkan daya tahan perkerasan jalan dan membantu mengurangi populasi sampah di Indonesia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan nilai Kadar Aspal Optimum (KAO), mengetahui karakteristik aspal bila ditambahkan limbah plastik Low Density Poly Ethylene (LDPE), dan mengetahui daya tahan aspal bila diberikan beban dinamis. Pengujian dilakukan di Laboratorium Dinas Bina Marga Provinsi DKI Jakarta. Aspal yang digunakan adalah aspal Esso dengan variasi kadar aspal yang digunakan adalah 5%, 5.5%, 6%, 6.5%, dan 7%. Kemudian kadar plastik yang digunakan adalah 0%, 3%, 4%, 5%, dan 7%. Metode pencampuran agregat yang dilakukan menggunakan cara kering, yaitu plastik dan agregat dipanaskan sampai homogen, selanjutnya aspal dicampur dengan agregat dan plastik. Diperoleh Kadar Aspal Optimum (KAO) dengan filler abu batu sebesar 5.5% dan nilai stabilitas sebesar 1095.348 Kg. Diperoleh nilai stabilitas terbesar dengan waktu perendaman 30 menit dan 24 jam sebesar 1793.01 Kg dan 1879.02 Kg dengan kadar plastik sebesar 7%. Stabilitas dinamis dan waktu penurunan yang diperoleh untuk kadar plastik 0% adalah 2793.10 lintasan/menit dan 0.0153 mm/ menit. Untuk kadar plastik 7% diperoleh nilai stabilitas dinamis dan waktu penurunan sebesar 4200.00 lintasan/ menit dan 0.0100 mm/ menit. Nunung Widyaningsih, Pg. Dipl. Eng. 2018 The rapid economic growth in Indonesia must be balanced with sufficient roads infrastructure, because roads are medium which connects between each region with another region for growing it's economic. Another trouble that happens in Indonesia are overpopulated plastic waste and how hard to recycle the waste itself. The piling of plastic waste can be used as mix material pavement for increasing it’s strength and help to reduce wastes in Indonesia. The purpose of this research is getting value of Optimum Asphalt Content (KAO), know the asphalt characteristics if added plastic waste Low Density Poly Ethylene (LDPE), and know the strength of asphalt if given dynamic pressure. Test were done in Dinas Marga DKI Jakarta Province Laboratory. Asphalt that were used are Esso asphalt with various asphalt content which were 5 %, 5.5%, 6%, 6.5%, and 7%. Then plastic content that used are 0%, 3%, 4%, 5%, and 7%. Aggregate mixing methode done by using dry way, which are plastic and aggregate boiled until homogen, next is asphalt mixed with aggregate and plastic. Obtained Optimum Asphalt Content (KAO) with stone ash filler in amount of 5.5 % and stability value around 1095.348 Kg. Obtained the highest stability value with 30 minutes and 24 hours time immersion around 1793.01 Kg and 1879.02 Kg with plastic content in amount of 7 %. Dynamic stability and time reduce that obtained for 0 % plastic content are 2793.10 track/minute and 0.0153 mm/minute. For 7 % plastic content the dynamic stability value and deformation time around 4200.00 track/minute and 0.0100 mm/minute.
