Abstract
Noodle Company is a company engaged in the food industry, which produces instant noodle products. Instant noodle production process involves filtering raw materials, mixing ingredient formulas during mixing process, pressing process, steaming process, frying process, cooling process, packaging process(packaging). The problem faced by the company is the high percentage of defective product packaging that is beyond the limit set by the company that is equal to 0.15%. This study aims to determine the types and factors causing defects packaging and provide suggestions for improvement to reduce defects packaging. The calculation result using pareto diagram shows that the two biggest factor for defective product packaging is cutting seasoning oil 24,51% and packing fire 20,30%.And based on fishbone diagram there are 5 factors that is human, machine, material, method, and environment. At the stage of Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) obtained the most potential cause factor is Autoloader engine damaged/error with the value of RPN (Risk Priority Number) of 392 so that a top priority for improvement. The cause of the Autoloader machine is broken/Cutter is not cut (blunt )and linear bearings damaged or worn so that it cannot work with optimal and lack of care and care of operators.So the proposed award is sharpening cutter is already blunt,replace the linear bearings that have been damaged, and make Auto speed. Perusahaan Mie merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang industri makanan, yang menghasilkan produk mie instan. Proses produksi mie instan meliputi penyaringan bahan baku, pencampuran formula ingredient pada saat proses mixing, proses pressing (pengepresan adonan), proses steaming (pengukusan), proses frying (penggorengan), proses cooling (pendinginan), proses packaging (pengemasan). Permasalahan yang dihadapi perusahaan adalah tingginya presentase produk cacat kemasan yang berada diluar batas yang telah ditetapkan oleh perusahaan yaitu sebesar 0,15 %. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis dan faktor-faktor penyebab cacat kemasan serta memberikan usulan perbaikan untuk mengurangi cacat kemasan. Hasil perhitungan menggunakan diagram pareto menunjukan bahwa dua faktor terbesar untuk produk cacat kemasan adalah potong minyak bumbu sebesar 24,51% dan kemasan kebakar 20,30%. Dan berdasarkan diagram fishbone ada 5 faktor yaitu manusia, mesin, material, metode, dan lingkungan. Pada tahap Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) diperoleh faktor penyebab yang paling potensial yaitu mesin Autoloader rusak/ error dengan nilai RPN (Risk Priority Number) sebesar 392 sehingga menjadi prioritas utama untuk dilakukan perbaikan. Penyebab mesin Autoloader rusak/error adalah Cutter tidak potong (tumpul) dan Bearing linier rusak atau aus sehingga tidak dapat bekerja dengan optimal dan kurangnya perawatan dan kepedulian operator. Sehingga usulan yang diberikan adalah adalah mengasah cutter yang sudah tumpul, mengganti bearing linier yang sudah rusak, dan membuat Autospeed, Kata kunci: Cacat kemasan, mie instan, failure mode and effects analysis, risk priority number.
