Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to know the influence of firm size and voluntary disclosure to earnings response coefficient. Dependent variable, is the earning response coefficient, while the independent variable is firm size and voluntary disclosure. The population of this research is the mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2012-2016. Determination of the sample using purposive sampling method with predetermined criteria. This study uses the design of a causal connection. The result of this study indicate that the variable firm size positively affects the earnings response coefficient, while the voluntary disclosure variable negatively affects the earnings response coefficient. Keywords : Firm Size, Voluntary Disclosure, Earnings Response Coefficient ABSTRAK Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh ukuran perusahaan dan pengungkapan sukarela terhadap koefisien respon laba. Variabel dependen, yaitu koefisien respon laba, sedangkan variabel independen adalah ukuran perusahaan dan pengungkapan sukarela. Populasi penelitian ini yaitu perusahaan pertambangan yang terdaftar pada Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2012-2016. Penentuan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling dengan kriteria yang telah ditentukan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain hubungan kausal. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh secara positif terhadap koefisien respon laba, sedangkan variabel pengungkapan sukarela berpengaruh secara negatif terhadap koefisien respon laba.
