Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of job stress and working climate on turnover intentions with employee satisfaction being intervening variable.Using these variables, such as Davis, Keith & Newstrom, John W. (2001), found the effect of job stress and working climate of employee satisfaction to reduce the turnover intentions. The study was conducted at PT FRIGOGLASS INDONESIA, a sample size of approximately 100 employees from the engineering level up to the supervisor who worked in the production department, Production support, supply chain, planning, maintenance, and quality.Data processed using statistical methods with SPSS 17.0 for Windows. The results showed that job stress has a positive effect on job satisfaction, although not significant due to the significance level higher than the significance level α = 0.05 (5%), whereas the working climate and turnover intention, and a significant positive effect on job satisfaction. That means working climate should be improved and turnover intention in minimilisasi to improve employee job satisfaction. Key words: work climate should be improved and turnover intention in minimilisasi to improve employee job satisfaction. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menyelidiki efek stres kerja dan iklim kerja terhadap keinginan berpindah dengan kepuasan kerja karyawan yang melakukan intervensi variabel. Menggunakan variabel-variabel, misalnya Davis, Keith & Newstrom, John W(2001), menemukan pengaruh stres kerja dan iklim Kerja terhadap kepuasan karyawan untuk menurunkan keinginan berpindah. Penelitian dilakukan di PT FRIGOGLASS INDONESIA, ukuran sampel sekitar 100 karyawan dari level Engineering sampai dengan supervisor yang bekerja di departemen produksi, Production support, supply chain, planning, maintenance, dan quality.Data diolah dengan menggunakan metode statistic melalui SPSS 17.0 for Windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa stres kerja berpengaruh positif terhadap kepuasan kerja walaupun tidak signifikan karena nilai tingkat signifikasinya lebih tinggi dari tingkat signifikasi α = 0.05 (5%), sedangkan iklim kerja dan turnover intention berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja.Itu artinya iklim kerja sebaiknya di perbaiki dan turnover intention di minimilisasi untuk meningkatkan kepuasan kerja karyawan. Kata kunci: Iklim kerja sebaiknya di perbaiki dan turnover intention di minimilisasi untuk meningkatkan kepuasan kerja karyawan.
