Abstract
Today’s Industry Challenges is very simple but very difficult to realized, which is developing more products with more variety, low cost and in a short time. To achieve this required a system is needed to reduce waste and add value in the workplace. One of the concepts system is the concept of Lean. There are several concepts offered by the researchers to achieve the concept of Lean in the product development process. Among them are using the assistance of information systems, using the concept of Digital Prototyping with the help of SMEDg (Single Minute Exchange of Design) and using the concept of Reverse Engineering. Tantangan Industri pada saat ini sangat sederhana namun sangat sulit untuk direalisasikan, yaitu mengembangkan lebih banyak variasi produk dengan dana yang rendah serta dalam waktu yang singkat. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut dibutuhkan sebuah sistem yang mampu mengurangi pemborosan dan menambah value pada proses kerja. Salah satu sistem tersebut adalah konsep Lean. Ada beberapa konsep yang ditawarkan oleh peneliti untuk mencapai konsep Lean pada proses pengembangan produk. Diantaranya adalah menggunakan bantuan sistem informasi, menggunakan konsep Digital Prototyping dengan bantuan SMEDg (Single Minute Exchange of Design) dan konsep Reverse Engineering.
