Abstract
Jasa pengiriman barang merupakan suatu paket jasa pelayanan pengiriman barang dan dokumen dari satu tempat ke tempat lain. PT. Gamala Sarana Express merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang jasa pengiriman baarang dan dokumen. Seperti perusahaan pada umumnya Terdapat masalah – masalah dalam proses bisnis perusahaan seperti pencatatan yang masih menggunakan cara lama seperti di implementasikan dalam file excel dan file word, sehingga sering terjadi kehilangan data. Selain itu, sering terjadinya barang dan dokumen hilang atau tidak sampai pada tujuan juga menjadi salah satu masalah dalam perusahaan, dikarenakan kurangnya pengawasan terhadapat kinerja kurir. Dengan menggunakan metode waterfall dilakukan tahapan – tahapan untuk membuat sistem pengiriman dan monitoring. Selain itu di gunakan juga metode analisa berorientasi objek UML ( Unified Modelling Language ) seperti use case diagram, sequence diagram, activity diagram, dan class diagram. Aplikasi yang dibuat menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan Database MySQL. Dengan permasalahan yang terjadi di perusahaan, penulis tertarik untuk membuat “ Perancangan Sistem Informasi Pengiriman dan Monitoring Kurir Studi Kasus pada PT. Gamala Sarana Epress ” yang di harapkan dapat menyelesaikan masalah didalam perusahaan, dan dapat membuat proses bisnis berjalan dengan lebih efektif dan efisien. Means Gamala Epress " that is expected to resolve the problems within the company , and can make business processes run more effectively and efficiently .
