Abstract

Nowadays, handphone technology using touch screen with android as the operating system is developing. Different telecommunications technology presented in one handheld android phone including internet connection and Bluetooth. However, we often get constraint how to control some device control easily to operate. In this project robot arm is built using four servo motors which can easily controlled with Bluetooth connection. Control is using BT Joystick Arduino application. This application can be downloaded on the Google Play Store for free. BT Joystick Arduino application requires a Bluetooth connection between the mobile phone and a controller module. These controls use arduino microcontroller as the control center, HC-06 Bluetooth module for connecting a Bluetooth connection between a mobile phone with arduino module and robotic arm. Arduino module programmed using C language. Based on test results to a robot arm, the system works well. Fourth servo motors work in accordance with the order of applications on the mobile phone. Maximum load that can be lifted is 35 grams and maximum control distance is 16.6 meters.
