Abstract
This research concern with analysis on increases of stock prices before and after cum dividend date in Indonesia Stock Exchange for the year 2007-2008. The methods used for this research is event study i.e., by observation toward stock price movement a 7 days before and after cum dividend date. Valuation for this research uses statistics deskriftive, One Sample kolmogorovsmirnov, and paired sample test. Result of this research concludes that there is increas in stock prices within 4 and 5 days before and after cum dividend date. Therefore cum dividend date has affected the stock price increases.
