Abstract
Currently, the growth of Islamic banking in Indonesia experience rapid growth. This was shown by the increasing number of Islamic Banking in the area around Jakarta and other cities. Islamic banking is also a principal of service to the community in providing services traffic services payments and money supply is adjusted. This research is intended to know how far the development of Islamic Banking at this time. Especially students who would plunge into work environment about banking. This study has Non Muslim respondents and the results can be processed, the researchers do comparison between Muslim and Non – Muslim student, about the knowledge and understanding of Islamic Banking. Samples needed for this study 122 respondents consisting of 90 students and 32 Non – Muslim Students, taken from Mercu Buana University and consist of some Faculty of Economics and Psychology. The sample selection is done by using a convenience sampling method. Statistical test used in this research are descriptive statistical tests and different test independent sample t-test. The result of this primary data processing using descriptive statistical tests showing that the perception of the Islamic Students have a better understanding of the Student Non-Islamic. The results of independent testing samples t-test showed that Muslim and Non Muslim Students have significant differences on Islamic banking.
