Abstract
Development of aviation industrie is now increases. It can be seen from the growth of the aviation industry in Indonesia. Governments are required to improve the performance and alignment of organizational goals. Accordingly, it is necessary that the performance improvement is more efficient, effective and in accordance with the development, the needs and desires of users of transport services and airlines. Lean service is one of the approaches tool to improve performance in the field of manufacturing which can now be applied to the field of service. Lean service identify and eliminate waste or non-value added activity to the community service in the process. Thereby will enhancing the activities that value adding. Primary data obtained from letter flow and sertification process. Work processes in the existing Sub Directorate of Standardization translated in a current state mapping. A Current state mapping is made to determine the activities that provide value-added and non-value-added activities or waste. Weaknesses in the current state process mapping will be analyzed and improved in the future state mapping to obtain a better flow, faster and more efficiently.Research is studies on various disciplines related to the discipline of industrial engineering. The main approach used is Lean Service. The Sub Directorate of Standardization is the government agency that shelter under the Directorate of Airworthiness and Aircraft Operation, Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Transport. Lean service research in government organizations may be the first time done in Indonesia. Keyword: Lean Service, 5S, Waste, Current state mapping, and Future state mapping. Perkembangan akan jasa transportasi penerbangan saat ini semakin meningkat. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari pertumbuhan industri penerbangan di Indonesia. Pemerintah dituntut untuk meningkatkan kinerja dan keselarasan tujuan organisasi yang lebih effisien, efektif dan sesuai dengan perkembangan. Lean service adalah salah satu proses pendekatan untuk memperbaiki kinerja pada bidang manufacture yang saat ini dapat diaplikasikan pada bidang pelayanan. Lean service mengidentifikasi dan menghilangkan waste atau non-value added dalam proses pelayanan kepada masyarakat. Dengan demikian akan meningkatkan aktifitas yang memberi nilai tambah. Data primer diperoleh dari aliran surat masuk dan data sertifikasi. Proses kerja pada Sub Dit Standarisasi yang ada saat ini diterjemahkan dalam current state mapping. Current state maping dibuat untuk mengetahui aktivitas yang memberi nilai tambah dan aktivitas tidak memberi nilai tambah atau disebut waste. Kelemahan proses kerja pada current state mapping akan dianalisis dan diperbaiki menjadi future state mapping agar didapat aliran kerja yang lebih baik, lebih cepat dan lebih efisien. Penelitian melakukan kajian terhadap berbagai disiplin ilmu yang terkait dengan disiplin teknik industri. Pendekatan utama yang dipergunakan adalah Lean Service. Sub Dit Standarisasi adalah instansi pemerintah yang bernaung dibawah Direktorat Kelaikan Udara dan Pengoperasian Pesawat Udara, Direktorat Jenderal Perhubungan Udara, Kementrian Perhubungan. Penelitian Lean service pada organisasi pemerintah mungkin baru pertama kali ini dilakukan di Indonesia. Kata kunci: Lean Service, 5S, Waste, Current state mapping, dan Future state mapping.
