Abstract
PT. OZ Guitar is a manufacturing company that makes musical instruments, especially acoustic guitar. The company manufactures guitars in accordance with orders. To serve the demand of production, the company is required to produce a quality product and timely. So the company should be able to plan and control production activities. Availability of the amount of raw materials to be used and lead-time should be planned appropriately by the company. Once the plan is made, the company will proceed to the production phase. In the production phase, the production company must know the latest status of production so it will know which is scheduled to be completed as planned or not. Various problems arise such as the incompatibility of planning schedules that have been created by actual operational conditions. Without an application with a centralized database, the company will be difficult to monitor all production activities due to the tight production schedule. With the right software application for planning and controlling the production process, it will support the objectives to be achieved by the companies which minimize all forms of waste that is to still be able to achieve the goal effectively. Keywords: Production Planning, Production Control, Production Activities Monitoring PT. OZ Guitar merupakan perusahaan manufaktur yang membuat instrumen musik khususnya gitar akustik. Perusahaan ini memproduksi gitar sesuai dengan pesanan yang diterima. Untuk melayani permintaan produksi, perusahaan dituntut untuk menghasilkan produk yang berkualitas dan tepat waktu. Sehingga perusahaan harus mampu merencanakan dan mengendalikan kegiatan produksinya. Ketersediaan jumlah bahan baku yang akan digunakan dan lead-time harus direncanakan dengan tepat oleh perusahaan. Setelah perencanaan dibuat, perusahaan akan melanjutkan ke tahap produksi. Pada tahap produksi, perusahaan harus mengetahui status produksi terkini sehingga akan diketahui produksi yang dijadwalkan akan selesai sesuai dengan yang direncanakan atau tidak. Berbagai permasalahan timbul seperti tidak sesuainya jadwal dari perencanaan yang telah dibuat dengan keadaan yang aktual di lapangan. Tanpa sebuah aplikasi dengan database yang terpusat, perusahaan akan sulit memantau seluruh kegiatan produksinya karena padatnya jadwal produksi. Dengan penerapan aplikasi yang tepat untuk perencanaan dan pengendalian proses produksi, maka akan mendukung tujuan yang ingin dicapai oleh perusahaan yaitu meminimalisasi segala bentuk pemborosan yang ada dengan tetap mampu mencapai tujuan dengan efektif.
