Abstract
The issue of nutritional imbalance caused by a fast-paced modern lifestyle and the consumption of low-fiber foods is a primary trigger for health disorders such as obesity, where the general public often struggles to independently monitor the quality of their macronutrient intake. This study aims to implement a Rule-Based System (RBS) method into the NutriTrack application to evaluate user daily nutritional balance automatically, transparently, and in a personalized manner. The variables studied include user anthropometric data—specifically age, gender, weight, height, and physical activity level—used to calculate Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) and Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE), as well as daily macronutrient intake variables consisting of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. The research method employed is applied research with a quantitative approach, where the knowledge base is constructed referring to the revised Harris-Benedict formula and the Recommended Dietary Allowances (AKG) standards of the Indonesian Ministry of Health Regulation No. 28 of 2019. The sampling technique utilizes purposive sampling via questionnaires distributed to respondents to obtain real anthropometric and physical activity profile data for validating the inference logic. Data analysis is conducted using an RBS inference engine with If-Then logic that compares intake inputs against individual nutritional targets. The result of this research is a system prototype capable of providing specific evaluation statuses such as "Balanced," "Protein Deficit," or "Fat Surplus." The conclusion indicates that the Rule-Based System approach is effective in providing nutritional recommendations with logical. Keywords: Rule-Based System, NutriTrack Application, Daily Nutritional Evaluation, Harris-Benedict, Dietary Pattern.
