Abstract
The high prevalence of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Indonesia remains a crucial challenge influenced by neurodevelopmental and environmental factors, such as difficulties in social communication, excessive sensory responses, repetitive behaviors, lack of early detection, and limited therapy and special education facilities. The Autism Care Center plays a crucial role in addressing these risks by providing integrated, sensory-friendly therapy spaces and supporting behavioral interventions to strengthen children's independence and development. The design of the Autism Care Center aims to create facilities that support cognitive, motor, and social development through efficient spatial planning, clear zoning between areas, multisensory, inclusive recreation, and support spaces for parents and educators. The design approach emphasizes psychological comfort so that autistic children do not feel stressed during therapy, controls sensory stimulation for natural healing, and therapeutic architecture that designs physical spaces to accelerate recovery and creates a peaceful, comfortable, and stimulating atmosphere through positive influences with sustainable care in the community, design for homemaking, social valorization, and integration with nature. The design results are expected to be able to produce an Autism Care Center that provides an inclusive, therapeutic, and adaptive healing environment to the needs of autistic children in Indonesia, so that it can contribute to efforts to improve the quality of support services for autistic children. Kata Kunci : Autism Care Center, Education, Therapy Tingginya prevalensi Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD) di Indonesia masih menjadi tantangan krusial yang dipengaruhi oleh faktor perkembangan saraf dan lingkungan, seperti kesulitan komunikasi sosial, respons sensorik berlebih, perilaku repetitif, kurangnya deteksi dini, serta keterbatasan fasilitas terapi dan pendidikan khusus. Autism Care Center menjadi peranan yang penting dalam mengatasi risiko tersebut melalui penyediaan ruang terapi yang terintegrasi, ramah sensorik, dan mendukung intervensi perilaku guna memperkuat kemandirian dan perkembangan anak. Perancangan Autism Care Center ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan fasilitas yang mampu mendukung perkembangan kognitif, motorik, dan sosial melalui penataan ruang yang efisien, zonasi jelas antara area, multisensori, rekreasi inklusif, serta ruang pendukung orang tua dan pendidik. Pendekatan desain memperhatikan kenyamanan psikologis agar anak autisme tidak merasa tertekan selama terapi, pengendalian stimulasi sensorik untuk penyembuhan alami, serta arsitektur terapeutik yang merancang ruang fisik mempercepat pemulihan serta menciptakan suasana damai, nyaman, dan memicu semangat lewat pengaruh positif dengan keterikatan pada care in community, design for domesticity, social valorisation, serta integrated with nature. Hasil perancangan diharapkan mampu menghasilkan Autism Care Center yang memberikan lingkungan penyembuhan yang inklusif, terapeutik, dan adaptif terhadap kebutuhan anak autisme di Indonesia, sehingga dapat berkontribusi dalam upaya peningkatan kualitas layanan pendukung anak autisme.
