Abstract
This study aims to examine three factors that influence technostress on employee performance, the influence of AI on employee performance, and the role of AI as a moderating variable in the relationship between technostress and employee performance in retail businesses in Jakarta. AI literacy refers to a person's ability to understand and utilize AI-based technology effectively, while technostress is defined as a stressful condition that arises due to the demands of using technology in the workplace. Employee performance is defined as the level of achievement of each individual in carrying out the tasks and responsibilities assigned to them as employees. This study uses a quantitative approach by conducting a survey of 157 retail workers in Jakarta. The G-Power program was used to calculate the sample size through an a priori power analysis. Direct and moderation effects were tested on the data using multiple linear regression. The results show that AI literacy has a positive influence on employee performance, and technostress has a negative influence on their performance. In addition, AI literacy is shown to moderate the relationship between technostress and employee performance, by weakening the negative influence of technostress on performance. The results show that AI literacy is an important personal resource for dealing with technology-based work pressure and helping employees improve their performance. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari tiga faktor pengaruh technostress terhadap kinerja karyawan, pengaruh AI terhadap kinerja karyawan, dan peran AI sebagai variabel moderasi dalam hubungan antara technostress dan kinerja karyawan ritel di DKI Jakarta. AI literacy merujuk pada kemampuan seseorang dalam memahami dan memanfaatkan teknologi berbasis AI secara efektif, sedangkan technostress didefinisikan sebagai kondisi stres yang muncul karena tuntutan penggunaan teknologi di tempat kerja. Kinerja karyawan didefinisikan sebagai tingkat pencapaian setiap individu dalam melaksanakan tugas dan tanggung jawab yang diberikan kepada mereka sebagai karyawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan melakukan survei terhadap 157 pekerja ritel di DKI Jakarta. Program G-Power digunakan untuk menghitung jumlah sampel melalui a priori power analysis. Pengaruh langsung dan efek moderasi diuji pada data dengan regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi AI berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja karyawan, dan technostress berpengaruh negatif terhadap kinerja mereka. Selain itu, literasi AI terbukti memoderasi hubungan antara technostress dan kinerja karyawan, dengan memperlemah efek negatif technostress terhadap kinerja. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa literasi AI adalah sumber daya personal yang penting untuk menghadapi tekanan kerja berbasis teknologi dan membantu karyawan lebih baik.
