Abstract

The development of Instagram has changed the way people obtain information, including information about internship programs. The Instagram account @anakmagang.id has become a popular platform for internship information accessed by students and aspiring job seekers, making the credibility of the communicator a crucial factor in building followers' trust in the information provided. This study aims to determine the effect of the credibility of the communicator on Instagram using @anakmagang.id on followers' trust in seeking internship information. The study employed a positivist paradigm with a quantitative approach through a survey method. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to @anakmagang.id Instagram followers using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using validity tests, reliability tests, simple linear regression, coefficient of determination tests, and t-tests. The communicator's credibility variable was measured through the dimensions of trustworthiness, expertise, and attractiveness, while the level of trust was measured through indicators of trust in the information and confidence in the source of the information. The results of the study indicate that the credibility of the Instagram communicator @anakmagang.id has a positive and significant effect on followers' trust levels, with a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05) and a regression coefficient of 0.847. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination of 0.531 indicates that the credibility of the communicator explains 53.1% of the variation in followers' trust levels, with the remainder influenced by factors outside the study. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the credibility of the communicator plays a significant role in building followers' trust in internship information on Instagram. Perkembangan media sosial Instagram telah mengubah cara masyarakat memperoleh informasi, termasuk informasi mengenai program magang. Akun Instagram @anakmagang.id menjadi salah satu media informasi magang yang banyak diakses oleh mahasiswa dan pencari kerja pemula, sehingga kredibilitas komunikator menjadi faktor penting dalam membangun tingkat kepercayaan followers terhadap informasi yang disampaikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kredibilitas komunikator Instagram @anakmagang.id terhadap tingkat kepercayaan followers dalam mencari informasi magang. Penelitian menggunakan paradigma positivisme dengan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui metode survei. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner berskala Likert 1-4 yang disebarkan kepada followers Instagram @anakmagang.id dengan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, regresi linear sederhana, uji koefisien determinasi, dan uji t. Variabel kredibilitas komunikator diukur melalui dimensi keterpercayaan (trustworthiness), keahlian (expertise), dan daya tarik (attractiveness), sedangkan variabel tingkat kepercayaan diukur melalui indikator kepercayaan terhadap informasi dan keyakinan terhadap sumber informasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kredibilitas komunikator Instagram @anakmagang.id berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap tingkat kepercayaan followers dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (<0,05) dan koefisien regresi sebesar 0,847. Selain itu, nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,531 menunjukkan bahwa kredibilitas komunikator mampu menjelaskan 53,1% variasi tingkat kepercayaan followers, sedangkan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kredibilitas komunikator memiliki peran penting dalam membangun tingkat kepercayaan followers terhadap informasi magang di media sosial Instagram.
