Abstract
This research aims to create and develop a website-based information system to manage inventory, applying the First-In First-Out (FIFO) method at PT. XYZ to overcome the problems of a manual system that results in inaccurate data, late reporting, and difficulty in accessing inventory information directly and in a timely manner. The system development is carried out using an object-based approach and follows the software development life cycle (SDLC). The system created helps to automatically record incoming and outgoing goods based on the FIFO principle, manage data, and manage inventory data. Functional testing using the black-box method has shown that all modules, from the login process to transaction management and report generation, operate as expected. The use of this system has significantly improved the accuracy of goods recording, accelerated the report generation process, and aided decision-making in business operations. Thus, the system has successfully provided a practical solution to reduce the risk of old goods accumulation and potential losses due to expired goods at PT. XYZ. XY Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat dan mengembangkan sistem informasi untuk mengelola stok barang berbasis website, dengan menerapkan metode First-In First-Out (FIFO) di PT. XYZ digunakan untuk mengatasi masalah sistem manual yang membuat data tidak akurat, pelaporan terlambat, dan sulit mengakses informasi stok secara langsung dan tepat waktu. Pengembangan sistem dilakukan dengan pendekatan berbasis objek dan mengikuti siklus hidup pengembangan perangkat lunak (SDLC). Sistem yang dibuat membantu mencatat otomatis barang yang masuk dan keluar berdasarkan prinsip FIFO, stok barang secara terpusat, serta menghasilkan laporan yang benar dan tepat waktu. Pengujian fungsional dengan metode black-box telah menunjukkan bahwa semua modul, mulai dari proses login hingga pengelolaan transaksi dan pembuatan laporan, berjalan sesuai dengan apa yang diharapkan. Penggunaan sistem ini secara nyata meningkatkan ketepatan dalam mencatat barang, mempercepat proses menyusun laporan, serta membantu pengambilan keputusan dalam operasi bisnis. Dengan demikian, sistem berhasil memberikan solus i yang praktis untuk mengurangi risiko penumpukan barang lama dan kerugian yang mungkin terjadi karena adanya barang yang sudah kadaluarsa di PT.
