Abstract
This study aimed to examine the relationship between body awareness and generalized anxiety symptoms among police officers of Polda Metro Jaya. Police officers are exposed to high job demands and chronic work-related stress, which may affect their mental health, particularly generalized anxiety. Body awareness, defined as an individual’s ability to perceive and attend to bodily sensations, has been theoretically associated with anxiety, especially when bodily sensations are negatively interpreted. This study employed a quantitative correlational design. The participants were selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using a body awareness scale and the Generalized Anxiety Disorder scale (GAD-7). These findings suggest that awareness of bodily sensations is not directly associated with generalized anxiety symptoms among the participants. Other factors, such as cognitive interpretation, emotion regulation, and coping strategies, may play a more substantial role in influencing anxiety levels. Keywords: Body Awareness, Generalized Anxiety Symptoms, Anxiety, Police Officers.
