Abstract

Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer suffered by women. One type of treatment that can be done is chemotherapy. The success of treatment can be seen from the patient’s compliance in following the doctor’s instructions, of course this can be influenced by family support given to the patient. This study aims to determine the effect of family support on the compliance of breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. This study uses a quantitative correlation method with a cross-sectional approach and using random sampling technique. This study was conducted at Hospital X with a total 117 respondents, the instruments used were a family support questionnaire and compliance questionnaire. The test used was a Simple Linear Regression Test with the results of the T-test found that the significant value was smaller than 0.05(0.00<0.05) with this finding indicating a significant influence between family support on the compliance of breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Keywords: familysupport, compliance, breastcancer, chemotherapy. Kanker payudara merupakan jenis kanker yang paling banyak diderita oleh wanita. Salah satu jenis pengobatan yang dapat dilakukan ialah dengan tindakan kemoterapi. Keberhasilan pengobatan dapat dilihat dari kepatuhan pasien dalam mematuhi arahan dokter, tentunya hal ini dapat dipengaruhi oleh dukungan keluarga yang diberikan kepada pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dukungan keluarga terhadap kepatuhan pasien kanker payudara yang menjalani kemoterapi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional dengan pendekatan cross-sectional dan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik random sampling. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Rumah Sakit X dengan jumlah 117 responden, instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner dukungan keluarga dan kuesioner kepatuhan. Uji yang digunakan adalah Uji Regresi Linier Sederhana dengan hasil uji t ditemukan bahwa nilai signifikan lebih kecil dari 0,05 (0,00 < 0,05) dengan ini didapatkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara dukungan keluarga terhadap kepatuhan pasien kanker payudara yang menjalani kemoterapi.
