Abstract
Foundations function to transfer structural loads to soil layers with adequate bearing capacity; therefore, their design is strongly influenced by subsurface soil conditions at the construction site. In the construction of a nine-story hospital building in Bandung, the near-surface soil is dominated by soft soil layers with relatively low N-SPT values, making the use of deep foundations in the form of pile foundations necessary. This study aims to evaluate the bearing capacity and settlement of pile foundations based on Standard Penetration Test (SPT) data obtained from three boreholes, namely BH-1, BH-2, and BH-3. The methods applied include the analysis of single pile bearing capacity using the empirical methods of Meyerhof and Schmertmann, evaluation of pile group bearing capacity and efficiency, calculation of elastic and consolidation settlements, as well as analysis of lateral bearing capacity and liquefaction potential based on SPT parameters and the seismic conditions of the Bandung area. The results indicate that the bearing capacity of the pile foundations satisfies the required safety factors, the total settlement remains within allowable limits, the lateral capacity of the piles is sufficient to resist applied horizontal loads, and no liquefaction potential is identified in the analyzed soil layers; therefore, the pile foundation system is considered safe and acceptable from a geotechnical perspective. Pondasi berfungsi menyalurkan beban struktur ke lapisan tanah yang memiliki daya dukung memadai, sehingga perencanaannya sangat dipengaruhi oleh kondisi tanah di lokasi pembangunan. Pada proyek pembangunan rumah sakit 9 lantai di Kota Bandung, kondisi tanah permukaan didominasi oleh lapisan tanah lunak dengan nilai N-SPT yang relatif rendah, sehingga digunakan pondasi dalam berupa tiang pancang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kapasitas daya dukung dan penurunan pondasi tiang pancang berdasarkan data Standard Penetration Test (SPT) dari tiga titik bor, yaitu BH-1, BH-2, dan BH-3. Metode yang digunakan meliputi analisis daya dukung tiang tunggal menggunakan metode empiris Meyerhof dan Schmertmann, analisis daya dukung kelompok tiang beserta efisiensinya, perhitungan penurunan elastik dan konsolidasi, serta analisis daya dukung lateral dan potensi likuefaksi berdasarkan parameter SPT dan kondisi seismik wilayah Bandung. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kapasitas daya dukung pondasi tiang pancang memenuhi faktor keamanan yang dipersyaratkan, penurunan total yang terjadi masih berada dalam batas izin, kapasitas lateral tiang mampu menahan beban horizontal yang bekerja, serta tidak ditemukan potensi likuefaksi pada lapisan tanah yang ditinjau, sehingga sistem pondasi tiang pancang yang digunakan dinyatakan aman dan layak dari aspek geoteknik.
