Abstract
Roads are vital infrastructure supporting mobility and economic activity. Road damage not only hinders smooth transportation but also has the potential to cause accident and reduce regional productivity. The Imam Bonjol – Tangerang road section is a main route with high traffic volume, and many heavy vehicles also pass through it, because it is located in an important industrial and commercial area. The road partly uses flexible pavement and the other part uses rigid pavement topped with flexible pavement, but it has experienced significant damage such as cracks, potholes, and surface subsidence, which is exacerbated by waterlogging during the rainy season. This study aims to analyze the level of road damage using the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) and Surface Distress Index (SDI) methods from ASTM D 6433 and the PKJI 2023 method to analyze heavy vehicle volume. The analysis result show that the road condition is generally in the Fair (20%) category with and average PCI value of 61,55 but there are segments that are in the Poor (75%) to Very Poor (5%) categories. Meanwhile, the SDI value applied to flexible pavemen is still in the good to moderate category. The recommended maintenance strategy includes structural rehabilitation for segments with severe damage, overlay for segments with moderate damage, and routine maintenance to maintain the road condition that is still suitable. It is hoped that the result of this study can be a basis for determining maintenance priorities and improving road quality effectively. Traffic volume analysis conducted at three observation points for two days showed that the highest traffic volume occurred in the morning and afternoon hours, with the dominance of passenger cars (MP) and motorbikes (SM). Thus, these results reflect the existence of traffic movement patterns that are influenced by community activities during the hours of going to and from work, so that effective traffic management is needed to maintain the smooth flow of vehicles and reduce the potential for congestion during this period. Kerusakan jalan tidak hanya menghambat kelancaran transportasi, tetapi juga berpotensi menimbulkan kecelakaan dan menurunkan produktivitas wilayah. Ruas Jalan Imam Bonjol – Tangerang merupakan jalur utama dengan volume lalu lintas tinggi, dan tidak sedikit juga kendaraan berat yang melintasi jalan tersebut, karena terletak di daerah industry dan komersial penting. Jalan tersebut sebagian menggunakan perkerasan lentur dan bagian yang lain perkerasan kaku yang diatasnya dilapisi perkerasan lentur, namun mengalami kerusakan signifikan seperti retak, lubang, dan penurunan permukaan, yang diperparah oleh genangan air saat musim hujan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis tingkat kerusakan jalan dengan metode Pavement Condition Index (PCI) dan Surface Distress Index (SDI) dari ASTM D 6433 serta metode PKJI 2023 untuk menganalisis volume kendaraan berat. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kondisi jalan secara umum termasuk dalam kategori Fair(20%) dengan rata-rata nilai PCI sebesar 61,55, namun terdapat segmen yang berada dalam kategori Poor(75%) hingga Very Poor (5%). Sementara itu, nilai SDI yang diberlakuan bagi perkerasan lentur masih dalam kategori baik hingga sedang. Strategi pemeliharaan yang direkomendasikan mencakup rehabilitasi structural untuk segmen dengan kerusakan berat, overlay untuk segmen kerusakan sedang, serta pemeliharaan rutin untuk menjaga kondisi jalan yang masih layak. Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi dasar dalam menentukan prioritas pemeliharaan dan meningkatkan kualitas jalan secara efektif. Analisis Volume lalu lintas dilakukan pada tiga titik pengamatan selama dua hari menunjukkan bahwa volume lalu lintas tertinggi terjadi pada jam pagi dan sore hari, dengan dominasi mobil penumpang (MP) dan sepeda motor (SM), Dengan demikian hasil ini mencerminkan adanya pola pergerakan lalu lintas yang dipengaruhi oleh aktivitas masyarakat pada jam berangkat dan pulang kerja, sehingga diperlukan pengelolaan lalu lintas yang efektif untuk menjaga kelancaran arus kendaraan serta mengurangi potensi kemacetan pada periode tersebut.
