Abstract
The design change of Ramp 4 at the Pusakanagara Interchange on the Patimban Access Toll Road was carried out due to significant land limitations, particularly the presence of a gas station that hindered compliance with geometric design standards set by Bina Marga. This study aims to evaluate the conformity of the existing design with applicable geometric standards and to propose a safer and more operationally efficient alternative design. The evaluation was conducted through analysis of topographic data, Detail Engineering Design (DED) documents, and a comparison of geometric parameters—including minimum radius, spiral length, deceleration lane, and acceleration lane—against current technical standards. The results indicate that the existing design does not meet several key requirements, particularly regarding minimum radius and spiral transition length. The revised design offers improvements in safety and traffic performance, reflected in optimized deceleration and acceleration lanes, as well as enhanced horizontal alignment. Additionally, the evaluation provides significant benefits related to construction efficiency, reduced land acquisition needs, and decreased potential conflict points at the meeting area between the ramp and the national road. Overall, the design change is technically, operationally, and socially more feasible than the initial design and can serve as a reference for future planning and risk mitigation in similar projects. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kesesuaian desain eksisting terhadap standar geometrik jalan tol serta merumuskan alternatif desain yang lebih aman dan operasional. Metode evaluasi dilakukan melalui analisis data topografi, dokumen Detail Engineering Design (DED), serta perbandingan parameter geometrik seperti jari-jari tikungan, panjang spiral, lajur perlambatan, dan lajur percepatan terhadap standar teknis terbaru. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa desain eksisting tidak memenuhi beberapa persyaratan, antara lain jari-jari minimum tikungan dan panjang spiral. Perubahan desain yang diusulkan menghasilkan peningkatan pada aspek keselamatan dan kelancaran lalu lintas, ditandai dengan perbaikan pada panjang lajur perlambatan, penyesuaian lajur percepatan, serta optimasi alinyemen horizontal. Selain itu, evaluasi ini memberikan manfaat signifikan pada efisiensi konstruksi, pengurangan kebutuhan lahan, serta penurunan potensi conflict point pada pertemuan ramp dengan Jalan Nasional Pantura. Secara keseluruhan, hasil perubahan desain lebih layak secara teknis, operasional, dan sosial dibandingkan desain awal, serta dapat dijadikan rujukan pada proses perencanaan dan mitigasi risiko proyek sejenis.
