Abstract
The results in this study are to explain, the main purpose of the company is to invest their information system in order to move manual work into a computer, automatitation of accounting processes. This study uses descriptive quantitative methods, and the data used are primary data obtained from respondents who are employees at PT.YIJ International Jaya through questionnaires. The questionnaire distributed by 50 questionnaires and 37 questionnaires returned, all questionnaires that had been returned could be analyzed. The results of the study show that the purpose of the company to invest in accounting information systems, is more dominated by automatitation of accounting processes,and the the result of study show that the purpose of investment information systems to change manual work using a computer. However, tere are still many who do not understand the reasons for investing in the accounting information system Keywords: accounting information systems, investment, manual, Automatitation Hasil dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan, tujuan utama dari perusahaan mengivestasikan sistem informasi mereka Dalam rangka perpindahan pekerjaan manual menjadi komputer,dan otomatisasi proses akuntansi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif, dan data yang digunakan adalah data primer yang diperoleh dari responden yang merupakan karyawan PT.YIJ International Jaya melalui penyebaran kuesioner. Kuesioner yang disebarkan sebanyak 50 kuesioner dan 37 kuesioner kembali, seluruh kuesioner yang telah kembali dapat dianalisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tujuan perusahaan melakukan investasi pada sistem informasi akuntansi, lebih didominasi oleh otomatisasi proses akuntansi. Juga, menunjukan bahwa tujuan investasi sistem informasi untuk mengubah pekerjaan manual menggunakan komputer.Namun demikian masih banyak yang tidak memahami alasan investasi sistem informasi akuntansi tersebut.
