Abstract

Increased productivity is the desire of all companies amid increasing competition in the business, this study aims to analyze the effective use of resources production operator. Evaluation of the effectiveness of the operator in the production process is done by using the method of Overall Labor Effectiveness (OLE), after evaluation by the OLE phase, the next stage is the analysis of the problem is done by using a fishbone diagram. The results show the value of the OLE is still below the target company, it means there is ineffectiveness in the production process in PT Showa Indonesia Mfg. Based on the analysis of a fishbone diagram, cause of ineffectiveness is due to the production process in the absence of operator work stations and machine downtime is high enough, the solution given to this problem is the addition of a team, providing back-up operators and management to focus on critical parts and critical machines only, of these measures OLE value improved from the previous condition. While the increase in the OLE proposed later can increase productivity by removing most of the process to subcont, the proposal is expected to increase operator productivity from the initial target. Peningkatan produktivitas merupakan dambaan semua perusahaan ditengah semakin ketatnya persaingan bisnis, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektifitas penggunaan sumber daya operator produksi. Evaluasi efektifitas operator dalam proses produksi dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Overall Labor Effectiveness (OLE), setelah tahap evaluasi dengan OLE , tahap berikutnya adalah analisis masalah yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan diagram tulang ikan. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan nilai OLE masih dibawah target perusahaan, hal ini berarti terjadi proses produksi yang tidak efektif di PT Showa Indonesia Mfg. Berdasarkan analisis diagram tulang ikan, penyebab proses produksi yang tidak efektif adalah ketidakhadiran operator di pos kerja dan downtime mesin yang cukup tinggi, solusi yang diberikan terhadap permasalahan tersebut adalah dengan penambahan tim, penyediaan operator back up dan manajemen yang fokus pada critical part dan critical mesin saja, dari tindakan- tindakan tersebut nilai OLE mengalami perbaikan dari kondisi sebelumnya. Selanjutnya perbaikan OLE yang nantinya bisa meningkatkan produktivitas diusulkan dengan mengeluarkan sebagian proses ke subcont, dengan usulan ini diharapkan produktivitas operator akan meningkat dari target awal.
