Abstract
Indonesia through the city of Jakarta is currently intensively producing. This study aims to improve the quality performance of light steel products at PT Tatalogam Lestari through the application of the Lean Six Sigma method. Although the company has implemented the ISO 9001 quality system, the level of defects in several types of products still exceeds the tolerance threshold of 0.5%, with dominant defects in the form of bending, ink defects, dents, and tears. The Lean Six Sigma method is used with the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) approach to analyze root causes, measure quality performance using DPMO (Defects per Million Opportunities), and formulate effective improvement solutions. The results of the application show an increase in the sigma value from a range of 3.1 to 3.9, as well as a significant decrease in four main types of defects, namely bending defects decreasing from ±30% to ±12%, ink defects from ±25% to ±10%, dented defects from ±20% to ±8%, and tearing defects from ±15% to ±6%. This quality improvement has a positive impact on production efficiency, reduced rework, cost savings, and increased customer satisfaction. This study proves that Lean Six Sigma integration is effective in quality control and can be replicated for other light steel products. Keywords: Lean Six Sigma, Quality, Light Steel, DMAIC, DPOM Indonesia melalui kota Jakarta sedang gencar produksi.
