Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan keamanan jaringan dan kinerja koneksi menggunakan PPPoE dan IP statik dalam menghadapi serangan ARP spoofing dan pengaruhnya terhadap kualitas layanan, khususnya jitter. Variabel yang diteliti mencakup ketahanan terhadap serangan ARP spoofing, jitter. Sampel yang digunakan adalah dua perangkat client (PC-1 dan PC-2) yang terhubung ke jaringan Mikrotik. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan konfigurasi jaringan yang berbeda, yaitu PPPoE dan IP statik, untuk kedua perangkat tersebut. Data dianalisis menggunakan alat NetCut untuk simulasi serangan ARP spoofing dan Speedtest untuk mengukur jitter. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada jaringan PPPoE, PC-2 tidak terdeteksi oleh NetCut, mengindikasikan bahwa PPPoE lebih tahan terhadap serangan ARP spoofing dibandingkan dengan IP statik, di mana PC-1 terdeteksi dan rentan terhadap serangan tersebut. Pengujian jitter menunjukkan bahwa jaringan dengan PPPoE memiliki jitter sebesar 0 ms, 2 ms, 3ms, sementara IP statik mencatat jitter 8 ms, 7 ms, 7ms. PPPoE memberikan kinerja yang lebih stabil dan aman, dengan jitter yang lebih rendah dan ketahanan lebih baik terhadap serangan ARP spoofing dibandingkan IP statik. This study aims to compare network security and connection performance using PPPoE and static IP in dealing with ARP spoofing attacks, and how these affect service quality, especially jitter. The variables studied include resistance to ARP spoofing attacks and jitter. The samples used were two client devices (PC-1 and PC-2) connected to a Mikrotik network. The sampling technique involved using different network configurations PPPoE and static IP for each device. Data was analyzed using the NetCut tool to simulate ARP spoofing attacks and Speedtest to measure jitter. The results showed that on the PPPoE network, PC-2 was not detected by NetCut, indicating that PPPoE is more resistant to ARP spoofing attacks compared to static IP, where PC-1 was detected and vulnerable. Jitter tests showed that the PPPoE network had 0 ms, 2 ms, 3 ms of jitter, while the static IP network recorded 8 ms, 7 ms, 7 ms.
