Abstract
The design of the new campus building for Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (BSI) aims to create a modern, inclusive, and sustainable academic environment through a biophilic architectural approach. This approach focuses on strengthening the connection between humans and nature by integrating natural elements into the building design, such as natural lighting, vegetation, fresh air circulation, and the use of environmentally friendly materials. The project is located in Cengkareng Timur, West Jakarta, an area with significant potential for the development of higher education facilities. The design concept emphasizes a balance between function, comfort, and sustainability by creating learning spaces that stimulate cognition and mental well-being. Biophilic architecture is also expected to enhance BSI’s institutional identity as a technology-based university that cares for the environment. Through a healthy, adaptive, and inspiring design, this project aspires to become a representation of a future campus that is human-centered and naturebased. Perancangan Gedung Baru Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (BSI) bertujuan untuk menciptakan lingkungan kampus yang modern, inklusif, dan berkelanjutan melalui pendekatan arsitektur biophilic. Pendekatan ini difokuskan pada penguatan koneksi antara manusia dan alam melalui integrasi elemen alami dalam desain bangunan, seperti pencahayaan alami, vegetasi, sirkulasi udara segar, serta penggunaan material ramah lingkungan. Lokasi proyek berada di kawasan Cengkareng Timur, Jakarta Barat, yang memiliki potensi besar untuk pengembangan fasilitas pendidikan tinggi. Konsep desain menekankan keseimbangan antara fungsi, kenyamanan, dan keberlanjutan, dengan menciptakan ruang-ruang belajar yang merangsang kognisi dan kesejahteraan mental. Arsitektur biophilic juga diharapkan dapat memperkuat identitas institusi BSI sebagai kampus teknologi yang peduli terhadap lingkungan. Melalui desain yang sehat, adaptif, dan inspiratif, proyek ini diharapkan menjadi representasi kampus masa depan yang humanis dan berbasis alam.
