Abstract
This study aims to analyze and improve the warehouse layout of false eyelash products to enhance the efficiency of storage and retrieval processes. The main issue identified is the improper placement of products, which is not based on their movement frequency, resulting in longer retrieval times and suboptimal warehouse operations. The research applies the Class Based Storage method to categorize products into fast moving, medium moving, and slow moving classes. This classification serves as the basis for designing a new warehouse layout. The proposed improvement focuses on placing fast-moving items closer to the staging area and exit point, and widening the aisles to allow trolleys to access storage lanes directly. Based on simulations and time measurements, the retrieval time efficiency increased by an average of 64%. The study demonstrates that the application of Class Based Storage significantly enhances warehouse operational efficiency. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan memperbaiki tata letak gudang produk bulu mata palsu agar lebih efisien dalam proses penyimpanan dan pengambilan barang. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi adalah penempatan produk yang tidak berdasarkan frekuensi perpindahan, sehingga menyebabkan waktu pengambilan menjadi lama dan proses operasional gudang tidak optimal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Class Based Storage untuk mengelompokkan produk ke dalam kategori fast moving, medium moving, dan slow moving. Hasil klasifikasi tersebut menjadi dasar dalam penyusunan tata letak baru gudang. Perbaikan tata letak difokuskan pada penempatan produk fast moving lebih dekat ke area staging dan jalur keluar, serta pelebaran gang untuk memudahkan troli masuk ke jalur penyimpanan. Berdasarkan hasil simulasi dan pengukuran waktu pengambilan barang, terjadi peningkatan efisiensi rata-rata sebesar 64%. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode Class Based Storage secara signifikan meningkatkan efisiensi operasional gudang.
