Abstract

Redundancy system at the level of access is a system that if in Metro-E network there is a line to the customer which is lost, the communication can still be connected. In an area of Metro Ethernet provider network there are some issues in the customer network. One of the customer network is banking company that used optical fiber transmission in access channels is impaired, so it takes a long time to be handled. Services in the customer's network consists of Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) Network that connects from branch to head quarter. To fix these issues, redundancy system at the level of access was created by adding another transmision via radio microwave as backup link to Metro Ethernet (Metro-E) nearest to the customer. Redundancy system is configured in router provider as act layer access device with implementation redudancy failover IP Service-Level Agreement (SLA) and Floating Static Routing. So that there are two lines, the transmission via optical fiber to Metro-E A is main link and for backup link via radio microwave to Metro-E B. Reliability and availability values are calculated to determine that the network where Redundancy system has been implemented is in accordance with the target Key Performance Indicator (KPI) expected by the provider. After implementation of redundancy system, the network has 0.025 reliability and 99.99% availability values, both values are in accordance with the KPI standard. Keyword : Metro Ethernet (Metro-E), Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS), IP Service Level Agreement, Floating Static Routing, Reliability dan Availability. Sistem redudansi pada layer akses adalah sistem yang apabila dalam suatu jaringan Metro-Ethernet terdapat satu jalur ke pelanggan terputus maka komunikasi tetap dapat terhubung. Dalam suatu area jaringan Metro Ethernet provider terdapat beberapa permasalahan jaringan pada pelanggan. Salah satu jaringan pelanggan perusahaan perbankan mengalami gangguan pada jalur akses yang menggunakan transmisi serat optik, sehingga membutuhkan waktu yang lama untuk penanganannya. Layanan yang terdapat pada jaringan pelanggan tersebut Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) yang menghubungkan dari kantor cabang ke kantor pusat. Mengatasi permasalahan ini maka dirancanglah sistem redudansi pada layer akses dengan cara menambahkan transmisi radio microwave sebagai jalur cadangan ke Metro Ethernet (Metro-E) terdekat dari pelanggan. Sistem redudansi di konfigurasi pada perangkat router provider sebagai perangkat layer akses dengan penerapan sistem redundansi failover IP Service-Level Agreement (SLA) dan Floating Static Routing, sehingga terdapat dua jalur yaitu jalur utama menggunakan serat optik ke Metro-E A dan jalur cadangan menggunakan radio microwave ke Metro-E B. Nilai Reliabilitas dan Availabilitas dihitung untuk mengetahui jaringan yang telah di implementasikan sistem redudansi telah sesuai dengan target Key Performance Indicator (KPI) yang diharapkan provider. Setelah diimpelementasikannya sistem redundansi, jaringan memiliki nilai reliabilitas sebesar 0.025 dan availabilitas 99.99%, kedua nilai tersebut telah sesuai dengan standard KPI.
