Abstract

Submarsible pumps are rarely utilized in industrial settings, yet they play a crucial role in specific applications such as polder systems and water supply. Therefore, proper maintenance is essential to ensure reliability and extend operational lifetime. One effective and efficient maintenance strategy is Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM), which relies on monitoring the actual condition of the equipment. In this study, condition monitoring of a submarsible well pump was conducted using vibration analysis. Measurements were carried out with the VibXpert II Balancer, where vibration transducer sensors were mounted on the pump to detect vibrations along the X, Y, and Z axes. The rotational speed was measured using a Laser Trigger RPM sensor connected to the analyzer. The collected vibration data were evaluated based on ISO 10816-3 standards to determine vibration severity. Furthermore, spectrum analysis was performed to diagnose the type of fault present. The results identified an unbalance fault, indicated by elevated overall vibration levels beyond the acceptable threshold. These findings demonstrate that the CBM approach, through vibration analysis, is an effective method for early fault detection and reliability assurance of submarsible well pumps in critical applications. Keywords : Submarsible pump, condition-based maintenance (CBM), vibration analysis, VibXpert II , unbalance, ISO 10816-3, vibration spectrum Pompa submarsible merupakan jenis pompa yang jarang digunakan dalam lingkungan industri, namun memiliki peran penting terutama dalam aplikasi khusus seperti sistem polder atau penyediaan air bersih.
