Abstract

This study examines the relationship between academic stress and selfregulated learning among undergraduate students in Jakarta who utilize ChatGPT in their learning process. This quantitative correlational research employed the online Student-Life Stress Inventory (SLSI) to measure stress and the Academic Self-Regulated Learning Scale (A-SRL) to assess self-regulation skills. The sample consisted of students selected through purposive sampling. Since the data distribution was not normal, the analysis was conducted using Spearman’s correlation. The results revealed a significant negative correlation between academic stress and self-regulated learning, indicating that higher stress levels are associated with lower self-regulation in students’ learning processes. These findings highlight the importance of interventions aimed at reducing stress and strengthening self-regulation skills, such as a more structured and reflective use of ChatGPT. Keywords: Academic Stress, Self-Regulated Learning, ChatGPT Penelitian ini mengkaji hubungan antara Stres Akademik dan SelfRegulated Learning pada mahasiswa program sarjana di Jakarta yang memanfaatkan ChatGPT dalam proses belajarnya. Penelitian kuantitatif korelasional ini memakai kuesioner online Student-Life Stress Inventory (SLSI) untuk mengukur stres dan Academic Self-Regulated Learning Scale (A-SRL) untuk mengukur kemampuan regulasi diri. Sampel terdiri dari mahasiswa yang dipilih secara purposive. Karena distribusi data tidak normal, analisis dilanjutkan dengan korelasi Spearman. Hasilnya menunjukkan korelasi negatif yang signifikan antara stres akademik dan Self-Regulated, yang artinya berarti semakin tinggi tingkat stres, semakin rendah kemampuan mahasiswa dalam mengatur proses belajarnya. Temuan ini menegaskan perlunya intervensi untuk mengurangi stres dan meningkatkan keterampilan regulasi diri, seperti penggunaan ChatGPT yang lebih terstruktur dan reflektif.
