Abstract

Children aged 4-7 years tend to frequently engage in various forms of imagination, ranging from real-life scenarios to fantasy worlds and dreams of having their desired professions. Imagination is not merely wishful thinking, but an essential part of character development, creativity, and a bridge for emotional expression in children. Illustrated storybooks serve as a supportive medium for expressing imagination and encouraging children's interest in reading through engaging and enjoyable visuals. Therefore, the storybook "Lili’s Wishful Dream" is designed as a solution by presenting three story series with modern profession themes, packaged in light storytelling and appealing illustrations. More than just entertainment, this book aims to inspire children to dream boldly and be confident in their potential. Additionally, it serves as an interactive medium between children and their parents or teachers. Key Words : Children, Imagination, Profession, Storybook Anak usia 4-7 tahun cenderung sering berimajinasi yang bermacam-macam, mulai dari kehidupan nyata ataupun fantasi hingga mimpi memiliki profesi yang mereka inginkan. Imajinasi tidak hanya bentuk angan - angan tetapi juga bagian penting dari proses perkembangan karakter, kreativitas hingga jembatan pengekspresian perasaan pada anak. Buku cerita berilustrasi atau bergambar menjadi salah satu media yang mendukung untuk mengekspresikan imajinasi serta mendorong minat baca anak dengan menyertai visual yang menarik dan menyenangkan. Maka dari itu buku cerita “Lili’s Wishful Dream” dirancang sebagai solusi dengan menyajikan tiga seri cerita bertema profesi modern, dikemas dengan narasi cerita yang ringan dengan ilustrasi yang menarik. Bukan hanya untuk menghibur, buku ini bertujuan untuk menginspirasi anak - anak supaya berani bermimpi dan percaya diri akan potensi mereka. Selain itu buku ini juga bermanfaat sebagai media interaktif antara anak dengan orang tua ataupun guru. Kata Kunci : Anak-anak, Imajinasi, Profesi, Buku Cerita
