Abstract

This study examines the implementation of truck triangulation as a transportation optimization strategy in export-import operations to enhance logistics efficiency. A causal design with a mixed-methods approach was applied, combining quantitative analysis (delivery logs, delay reports, fleet rotation data) and qualitative insights through Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and in-depth interviews with internal stakeholders. Results show that delivery performance is influenced by internal factors (coordination gaps, limited fleet, scheduling mismatches) and external factors (weather, port congestion, gate-in systems). The application of truck triangulation proved effective in reducing empty trips, accelerating fleet rotation, stabilizing lead time, and lowering operational costs. Quantitatively, in 2024 a total of 18,452 trips recorded 8% triangulated, generating savings of 21,000 km, IDR 210 million, and reducing 52,500 kg CO2 emissions. In the first semester of 2025, triangulation increased to 11% of 9,685 trips, saving 30,930 km, IDR 154.65 million, and cutting 77,325 kg CO2 emissions. These findings highlight that truck triangulation not only delivers cost and time efficiency but also contributes to sustainability through carbon reduction, positioning it as a strategic operational and managerial approach in modern logistics.Penelitian ini menganalisis implementasi truck triangulation sebagai strategi optimasi transportasi pada operasi ekspor-impor untuk meningkatkan efisiensi logistik. Penelitian menggunakan desain kausal dengan pendekatan mixed methods, melalui analisis data kuantitatif (laporan pengiriman, keterlambatan, rotasi armada) serta kualitatif melalui Focus Group Discussion (FGD) dan wawancara mendalam dengan pemangku kepentingan internal. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa performa pengiriman dipengaruhi faktor internal (koordinasi, armada terbatas, ketidaksesuaian jadwal) dan eksternal (cuaca, kepadatan pelabuhan, sistem gate- in). Penerapan truck triangulation terbukti mengurangi perjalanan kosong, mempercepat rotasi armada, menstabilkan lead time, serta menekan biaya operasional. Secara kuantitatif, pada tahun 2024 tercatat 18.452 trip dengan 8% triangulasi yang menghasilkan penghematan 21.000 km, biaya Rp210 juta, dan reduksi emisi 52.500 kg CO2. Pada semester I 2025, tingkat triangulasi meningkat menjadi 11% dari 9.685 trip, menghasilkan penghematan 30.930 km, Rp154,65 juta, dan reduksi emisi 77.325 kg CO2. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa truck triangulation tidak hanya berdampak pada efisiensi biaya dan waktu, tetapi juga berkontribusi pada keberlanjutan melalui pengurangan emisi, sehingga relevan sebagai strategi operasional dan manajerial dalam logistik modern.
