Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penyebab keterlambatan cycle time pengangkutan batubara dari Blok SWA ke ROM Aster di PT XYZ serta merumuskan langkah-langkah perbaikan yang tepat. Permasalahan utama adalah ketidaksesuaian antara cycle time aktual (rata-rata 6,46 jam) dengan perencanaan (3,62 jam), yang berdampak langsung terhadap pencapaian produksi, khususnya pada shift malam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode studi kasus. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh kegiatan hauling segmen 1, sementara sampel dipilih secara purposive yang mencakup operator, pengawas, manajemen, serta data aktivitas harian hauling. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi lapangan, dokumentasi internal perusahaan, dan wawancara mendalam. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan Fishbone Diagram untuk mengidentifikasi akar penyebab, dan pendekatan Six Sigma DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) untuk merumuskan solusi perbaikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlambatan disebabkan oleh faktor manusia (kompetensi pengawas dan operator), mesin (tingkat PA rendah), metode (loading lambat dan antrian), material (stok tidak tersedia), dan lingkungan (jalan sempit dan belum AWR). Perbaikan yang disarankan mencakup pelebaran jalan, optimalisasi alat, peningkatan kompetensi SDM, dan pemisahan fungsi loading dan collecting guna meningkatkan efisiensi operasional secara menyeluruh. This study aims to analyze the causes of delays in the coal transportation cycle time from Block SWA to ROM Aster at PT XYZ and to formulate appropriate improvement actions. The main problem lies in the discrepancy between the actual cycle time (average 6.46 hours) and the planned target (3.62 hours), which has directly impacted production performance, especially during the night shift. This research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach using a case study method. The population includes all hauling activities in segment 1, with purposive sampling involving operators, supervisors, management, and daily operational data. Data collection techniques include field observations, company documentation, and in- depth interviews. The analysis employs a Fishbone Diagram to identify root causes and the Six Sigma DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) methodology to develop targeted improvement strategies. The findings reveal that the delays are caused by human factors (supervisor and operator competence), machine issues (low availability rate), method (slow loading and queuing), material (unavailable coal stock), and environmental conditions (narrow and non-AWR roads). Recommended improvements include road widening, equipment optimization, competency development, and separating loading from collecting activities to enhance overall operational efficiency.
