Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh word of mouth, lingkungan fisik dan citra sekolah terhadap keputusan memilih sekolah dengan intensi memilih sekolah sebagai variabel mediasi (studi pada murid SMKN 47 jakarta). Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah murid yang terdaftar di SMKN 47 Jakarta tahun pelajaran 2024/2025. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini probality sampling dengan teknik pengambilan purposive sampling dengan kriteria merupakan murid SMKN 47 Jakarta yang terdaftar pada tahun pelajaran 2024-2025, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 187 responden. Metode analisis data menggunakan Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa word of mouth dan lingkungan fisik memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifkan terhadap intensi memilih, sedangkan citra sekolah tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap intensi memilih. Word of mouth, lingkungan fisik dan citra sekolah serta intensi memilih memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifkan terhadap keputusan memilih sekolah. Intensi memilih menjadi parsial mediasi antara word of mouth dan lingkungan fisik terhadap keputusan memilih sekolah, sedangkan intensi memilih terhadap citra sekolah tidak terjadi mediasi terhadap keputusan memilih sekolah.This study aims to identify and analyze the influence of word of mouth, physical environment, and school image on the decision to choose a school, with the intention to choose serving as a mediating variable (a study on students of SMKN 47 Jakarta). The population of this research comprises the students. The sampling method used is purposive sampling with total of 187 respondents who met the inclusion criteria enrolled at SMKN 47 Jakarta for the 2024/2025 academic year were selected. Data analysis was conducted using the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method. The results indicate that word of mouth and physical environment have a positive and significant effect on the intention to choose, while school image does not have a significant effect. Furthermore, word of mouth, physical environment, school image, and intention to choose all have a positive and significant effect on the decision to choose a school. The intention to choose partially mediates the relationship between word of mouth and physical environment on the decision to choose, whereas no mediation effect is found in the relationship between school image and decision to choose.
